Go red for February!

Hello and welcome to our Style Not Age challenge for this month. Hilda's come up with this month's theme of Go red for February, a lively idea I would say. I've fully entered into the swing of things as you can see so let's have a look at the others now shall we?

Hilda's red sweater and bag are by Irish brand, Lennon and Courtney, worn with blue wide legged jeans for this stylish and yet casual look. See more from Hilda on her blog Over the Hilda now.

At the smarter end of the scale is Jacqui in her woman-about-town look. She's sporting a few variations of red along with her new cream faux leather skirt by Izabel. Catch up with her latest news on Mummabstylish.

Emma's mixing things up for a quirky and fun look for her Go Red offering. Emma isn't timid in her dressing and it always pays off. Read her back story on her blog the Style Splash.

I'm thrilled to be wearing this suede fringed jacket for the first time. I'm not sure why it's taken me six months to showcase it, but here we are. I found it in a vintage shop in Penzance last year and kept on waiting for the right moment to wear it. This challenge was the perfect prompt!

I paid £45 for the jacket which, considering it's real suede isn't a bad price at all. Adding the tartan trousers may not be the obvious for everyone, but to me it seemed like a great idea. The trousers were a charity shop find from last year too.

A full fringe across the back of the jacket deserved a bit of a twirl!

The cream rib knit sweater was a high street buy last year, one of those versatile pieces that you can't go wrong with.

The white leather cowboy boots by All Saints tie in perfectly with the fringed jacket.

Never fear mixing fun jewellery with classic pieces. It's easy to stick by the rules, but much more fun to make your own. The plastic ring was a thrift purchase and the silver scribble ring is by Emily Nixon.

It was such a relief to see the sunshine this weekend! I'm sure we're all pretty fed up with the relentless rain. It's been feeling much more spring-like here - hopefully I've not spoken too soon!

Many thanks for joining us for the monthly round up. Did you go red in Feb? Maybe we've given you an idea or two...

Festival Fashion

Hello again and welcome to Festival Fashion, our Style Not Age challenge for July! It's a topical style choice at this time of year and we have Jacqui to thank for that. Before you scroll any further however, I just have to say that I was surprised at how differently we all approached this theme, but that surely goes to show our different personalities. So do please carry on - scroll away to see how my fashionable friends fared!

Emma brought out the big guns for her look with silver and sequins and all that sparkles! She's left us in no doubt as to where she's heading. See all the details on her blog Style Splash

Jacqui's look is more boho than disco with a slight country vibe to it too. I love the muted palette along with the leather accessories. Find all the details on Jacqui's blog Mummabstylish.

Hilda decided on a more relaxed slant for her outfit, choosing a comfortable, loose-fitting shirt and jeans for her festival fun. Catch up on all of her latest on her blog Over The Hilda.

I've shopped my closet for my festival finery and am really happy with the result. It's not an outfit I've worn before but now that I've assembled the look I think I'll wear it again. Everything is from Vinted, purchased last year. The frilled top has only been worn once before and I'm asking myself now, Why?

Both the top and trousers are by River Island and the boots are by All Saints. I've been quite restrained of late and haven't made a forray into the realms of Vinted for months now, but when I see these pieces it does make me happy that I found them.

Behind me you'll see the last of the agapanthus still in bloom, but definitely past their best. I do love this beach path leading down to Pentle Bay, one of my swimming beaches. My only accessories are a couple of pre-loved rings and these blue Radley London sunglasses.

As a backdrop you really couldn't find anything nicer. Of course, I may be biased, but hey! I do hope our challenge has entertained and maybe even inspired you too. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Zingy spring outfit

Hi there! How's tricks? I do hope you're enjoying this fabulous springtime weather. It's been glorious here with only a brisk easterly wind keeping us all in check and wearing our jackets when out and about. My pretty spring jacket is by Heyton, bought from TK Maxx a few years ago.

Despite being one of my favourite jackets I don't seem to have many things to wear it with so it was a joy to bring it together with my lime jumpsuit by & Other Stories (from Vinted). Fiona has become my Friday photographer again which is another joy in my life. It's lovely to have a bit of friendly banter to loosen me up for these photoshoots.

I have no idea what this gesture was in response to, but I was clearly having some Friday fun!

I decided on blue and turquoise as my accent colours against the lime green by adding two turquoise beaded necklaces and my recently purchased blue and coral beaded belt (yes, from Vinted of course).

My white leather cowboy boots finish the outfit off with a sharp edge. Despite looking narrow they are actually all-day-wearable, thank goodness, as I do love them.

I'd like to finish off by giving a big shout out to all the ladies who drop in to see me at the Gallery throughout the year to pass on their positive comments on my outfits. Rosemary, it was so good to see you last week and to have your very kind feedback and valuable input - thank you! It's heartening to have these lovely ladies appear from time to time just to say how much they like popping in to see what the outfit of the day is. It's a real bonus for me, especially as I dress for myself, not for the approval of others therefore that makes it even more appreciated.

Have a great week everyone!

Anna x
