Tartan - it's in my blood!

The first photos for the new blog and the British weather is doing it's best to spoil our fun. Getting dressed up for work is a great excuse to keep expanding my wardrobe and throws up some surprises even for me. I've paired up much loved tartan tights with this amazing vintage handbag that I found in a retro shop in Ireland a few years ago. And thanks to the Fabulous Fashionistas I treated myself to these Dr Martens when they showed me I wasn't too old to wear them. Rain clearly didn't stop play this time.

Dress : charity shop. Shoes : Dr Marten. Tights : old. Handbag : vintage. Green pearls : Rose Cecil.

  1. Thanks for that. I have a bit of a thing for jazzy tights, so keep an eye out for some silver and black ones coming soon!

    1. Thanks Jodie. I think this is one of the few times I've worn black on my blog, so well done you for finding it! The tartan does give it a punch as you say. Thanks for dropping in xxx

  4. Ha, Catherine was right in bringing us together. I could show you a picture (of a few years ago): me in a black dress with tartan tights. I was wearing black high heels with them as those fantastic brogues of yours weren't in fashion yet.
Love the outfit. But I adore the bag. What a fantastic bag.

    1. Yes, I must thank her for this hook up between us, and I also must search your blog for that post too. I love flat shoes for work as I'm up and down ladders most days. And yes, isn't this bag adorable! Probably time I featured it again.

    3. Aha. Not easy. Lots of risk and competition but fun to be around so much creativity.
