Blogging is fun, isn't it? I really love the warm and welcoming community out there.
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! That skirt is awesome, as are the boots. It's been pouring here on the west coast of Canada - it's going to be a wet walk to work today!
I'm having great fun, particularly when you come across someone whose style you really get - it's real fuel for the imagination. These boots remind me of the ones you showcased recently, a bit worn and all the better for it too. Am hopping across to see what you wore to work today x

Hey, Anna! Just a note to let you know I'm totally cool with you reading back in my blog history! I'm having fun seeing what's catching your eye - I don't usually read back very often, so it's been a blast reliving my past. FYI, I don't carry my clothes to and from work any more (I changed jobs about 5 years ago, and I walk a much shorter distance to work now). Also, totally fine with congratulating me (us!) on our weight loss - I never get tired of that! :)
DeleteThanks again for stopping by - I love reading your comments.
Cheers,
sheila
Oh, that VW skirt is making me swoon a little....Ebay you say? I must look for her stuff on there...her cut and use of fabric is superb. Your fur number is fun too. however, if I was wearing it today it would look like a drowned rat. The weather is pretty hideous outside. I can't complain too much though as we still have a home, and heat and internet! (so far anyway).
ReplyDeleteWhat is that funny orange light in your photographs??? Hang on, is that "sunshine"? It has been so long that I had forgotten what it looked like!

I don't think we can call this autumn any more - it's full on winter down here with raging winds an everyday occurance. I went cold turkey with eBay a few months ago, but have just been nosing around recently...Oh dear. Will pop over to see what you're up to now x

I was going to say that skirt looked very V W!!!! This really is a great outfit, all the pieces are bold, full of life and joie de vivre.
ReplyDeleteOh and it is VERY nice to have discovered you so thanks for coming to visit me first and saying such nice things. You're one of those bloggers I just love-there's something about lovely ladies like you that I can't wait to read more!!x
Kezzie thank you for saying such lovely things too. I came across you thanks to Melanie and am so happy I followed my instinct to look you up. I do hope that you make it to the islands this summer and that I can meet you in person x

Wow! Those boots are a fabulous find!
ReplyDeleteI think that is one of the positives of the Internet, getting to connect with like minded people on the other side of the globe that we never would have known otherwise.
You're an interesting person with an artistic style so delighted to "meet" you.
bisous

Thank you Suzanne. I must admit I stepped out initially with some trepidation, and some aspects of the blog have challenged me technichally, but it's been worth the steep learning curve to connect and lay down the foundations of friendship with the likes of you x

Oooh so many lovely textures. I would imagine people want to pet you! Hahaha. I'm swooning over your vest.
ReplyDeleteI know - it was shocking to discover people coming back for visits because it's scary when you start. But it's so satisfying, right? The support is amazing.
You said it perfectly: it's a joyful journey.
I started my blog because I thought it might be fun to share these outfits. Little did I know that I would come across flamboyant women like you. Nor did I realise that friendships could be forged through our passion for dressing up x

Lovin' the layers and textures of this outfit, Anna. And even more so that everything is pre-loved. Isn't it wonderful what you can find and give a lovin' home to and put your own stamp on!
ReplyDeleteWhen I've had moments of doubt, my husband has always said that it's so important to do something that you love - however surface it may feel - it's still a way of expressing yourself and to do it through style is no less a form of expression than music, art, literature etc...

Your husband is right. It's about a passion, an honest-to-goodness desire that can't be ignored. I'm delighted to have made this new found mode of expression, and most importantly it's fun x
