Polly had watched me tip toe my way down the slippy incline onto the beach and had been snapping away furiously - I think she had hoped to catch me slipping onto my derriere! |
This clutch belongs to my daughter who has moved out, but not moved all of her things out. She may decide to collect some of these featured pieces now that I'm making good use of them!

The little harbour behind me is always a hive of activity in the mornings with frieght being loaded and unloaded, and visitors catching the jet boats to make their trip homewards. |
Oh you are so right - a blast of sunshine is sorely needed and you have just provided it! H&M do some smashing skirts and this one looks lovely on you.The white blouse is so crisp and fresh and I love the clutch. A beautiful outfit.
ReplyDeleteThe heels look vertiginous but if you say they're comfortable - who I am to argue? I'm going to re look into your suggestion for OTK boots, by the way. My ex daughter in law's had heels (!) I rarely wear heels and I think that is what put me off them. I've seen lots of flat ones since and will give them a whirl. I'll let you know how I get on.
Hope you are having a fab break!

Hello Veronica from the deep blue Mediterranean seas off of Civitavecchia. Apologies to and all my readers for slipping off the radar. Wi fi has been sorely lacking, and remains so even here on the ship. Lots of photos to show on Instagram, but a nightmare trying to get them to load. We are in Sicily tomorrow and we see if I can find an Internet cafe. In the meantime, I agree that this mid winter blast of sun can only be a good thing, and secondly I urge you to try the boots as only then can you decide - good luck x

I adore this look and yes, thank you for the sunshine!!!!! Such gorgeous colours! How nice it must have been for you to have Polly helping!!x
ReplyDeleteThank you Kezzie. I will have Polly back in March which will be lovely. Re your cruise, you mustn't give the dress code a second thought as everyone wears exactly what the likes. I clearly get dolled up, but that's just me. Luckily the two other ladies on my table like a bit of sparkle too x

Hi Anna, lovely to see your sunny self here. How's the Med treating you?
ReplyDeleteJust a short while ago you complimented me on an out-of-season summer post I'd published in January (for the simple reason I was very behind in posting) - and when it's your own post you don't appreciate the full impact it can have when viewed by others. Now, seeing this I understand. You're relaxed and golden; the light is gently bright and the shadows unexpectedly vivid. Makes me want to be there. Oh yes, your skirt is very lovely too, and I hope Polly returns to you this year - I'm so envious - I'd love a "polly".

Sally wasn't that a glorious day? We've had beautiful weather in Rome today and I had some photographs to post but hey life rarely goes to plan. Am resigned to giving you all a big update when I get back. Italy is all that I had hoped and we still have another day on Sicily to come x

Hurray for colour! I love this bright yellow and white look with its accents of black. Fabulous, Anna!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your positive comments Sheila. Must get back in the groove now that I'm home again.

It does make us long for summer though....
ReplyDeleteNever knew you had such grown up children... but what do I know of you ...

It's funny that we all have this life behind the scenes that is sometimes shared. Too little, too much? Goodness knows what's right.
