Flowers and more flowers

If you've followed my blog for any length of time you'll be aware that I hardly ever feature jeans. But hey, it's the weekend and I'm in jeans. Not just any old jeans though - embroidered ones.

So the jeans are new, from TK Maxx and I'm wearing a top that I bought last year when we were in Sicily. I couldn't resist the cheesy pairing of floral top with flowery jeans. Very hippy in my own way, but fun none the less. And then just to get my point home, I've added a very old flowery leather belt as well as my flowery sunglasses. More is more is definitely my message today. Neutral leather strappy wedge sandals are the finishing touch.

I'm keen to hear from those of you in the know if this is a genuine Pucci piece. I'm one of these people who buys because I love it rather than for the brand, but when I went looking for a label in this, I found I'd done what I usually do which is cut out any scratchy labels. When I googled this it came up with Emilio Pucci, but I wonder if this is an imitation. No matter if it is or isn't, I still love the vibrant pattern.

I'll leave you with some shots that I took this morning before my swim. It was about 8am and the sun was well up in the sky giving some lovely dazzling images. I hope you're having a great weekend.

  1. I love this flowery ensemble! What a fun outfit. I am in awe of the floral jeans, and now I have a mission: to find some for me. I have doubts about the "real-ness" of your sweater due to the mis-match of the print colours. I see some not-lined-up colours - the red and the green are shifted down, I think. I don't think you would see that on a real Pucci piece. However, who cares? If you love it, it's real, just like the Velveteen Rabbit. :)

    1. I know you're not a big fan of jeans Sheila, so I'm very flattered that you'll be hunting these down over your side of the pond. Good luck with that. And hey, you're right that it's not important about this top being real or not - it's still fab!

  2. I love the embroidered jeans trend. You look great. I don't know how to spot genuine Pucci but it's a lovely top regardless. Gail

  3. I've been all over that embroidered trend for about 2 years now.

I love that top! Regardless of who made it.

    1. I'm always a bit late picking up on trends, but this is one that's here to stay as far as I'm concerned!

  4. Your Island is truly beautiful.

I love this look on you - I love florals anytime. The trend for embroidered clothing must be wonderful for those who can embroider, but Suzanne flagged up embroidered motifs that can be ironed or sewn on in her blog and even I am capable of that!

I love the shirt and the blue rings are fabulous. You do look casual but very interestingly casual.

    1. I just posted another lot of beautiful shots from the islands yesterday, so do take a look at them if you get a chance Vronni. That makes two casual blog posts in the same week - whatever next!

I'm hoping to customise a denim jacket with some of those embroidered motifs when I get time...

      Have a lovely week x

  5. Like Suzanne, I'm crazy for embroidered flowers and everything else... since 1969!!! I think I've got her beat on that by just a couple of years. Anyway I appreciate the way you've gone all flower power on us Anna! Your styling is just very gun, not cheesy at all. I may even have to steal this idea of a blouse that picks up the colors and pattern of the embroidery. GROOVY!!!

    1. Sometime I feel I need to apologise by saying "Excuse me, my age us showing" and the whole flower power thing is precisely that isn't it? But I honestly love the look as well as the nostalgia it carries with it, don't you Jude? Groovy baby!

  7. I love everything about this! I do not have any embroidered jeans, but I do love them. I think my favorite part though is the belt...such a 70's vibe!
I always love your scenic shots. They make me happy every time they pop up in my Instagram feed. :)

    1. Maybe not embroidered jeans Debbie, but I saw your recent post with the embroidered top - how cute is that!

Hope you get a chance to take in my recent post as it's got lots of shots of the islands.

  8. No plain jeans for you, Anna. They have to be special and adorned and embellished and colourful, to reflect your personality :)

    1. Hahaha, or in other words I'm maybe a bit of a show off Sheila? Hey, I'm cool with that. You gotta be a bit of an extrovert to run a blog don't you?
