Hello there and how are you?
Today I thought I'd share my recent birthday present from Sasha - this fabulous fur coat from H&M. It's not only teddy bear soft, but also works as another dose of colour therapy during these winter months. I adore a fun fur and am thrilled to add this new shade to my wardrobe.
Steve and I chose Carn Near quay as our backdrop for the photo shoot affording us this wonderful vista of islands and sea behind. The white sands are Bathing House beach on Tresco and the islands in the distance are the Eastern Isles.
As usual there's always something I forget and the accessory of the day was a pair of buttery soft leather gloves that match the jacket perfectly, but you'll have to wait until I style this up another time to see those!
The gold sweater is one that Sasha gave me as a hand-me-down a couple of years ago, also from H&M. It's been at the bottom of my cupboard for months and was only unearthed when I was trying to find the right top for this outfit. The Lee jeans were a recent purchase from TK Maxx.
The necklace is from Topshop and my old faithful sunglasses are from Quay Australia.
My gorgeous belt is new, by Ted Baker and another birthday gift, this time from Fiona. Both rings are also gifts from other girlfriends previously.
I'm still in love with these fabulous blue snakeskin Chelsea boots from Office. The brand is Ego and they're in the winter sale here if you want to catch yourself a bargain!
I'm so grateful that the blog affords Steve and I the chance to spend some time out and about when we otherwise might just be bogged down by weekend chores. We poke fun at each other in our chosen roles of model and photographer, neither of us convinced that we are the real deal which of course, helps to keep it real. And here's the view that I was facing throughout today's brief session looking out towards St Agnes and the Western Rocks.
Thanks for dropping by and have a lovely week!

What a pretty background and coat! I *almost* got a coat similar to this that was on clearance, but I thought I would be too hot in it. I love all of your other pieces, too--gold top, belt.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I love that you say you might have been too hot in it! As opposed to being too boring or too cold? Excuse my silliness x
DeleteI just found your blog! I love reading it. I must admit I had to do some detective work and find where you live! I had never heard of the isle of Tresco and where you are in relation to Cornwall. We Americans know so little about the world, although I have been to Europe 3 times, paris, Ireland, and Germany. I wish you well and will continue to read your blog!
ReplyDeleteHello and welcome! Thank you not just for joining me, but for kindly leaving your comment. The island of Tresco is only one mile wide by two miles long and lies some 28 miles off the southern most tip of mainland Cornwall. I think you've probably travelled further afield than I have my dear x
Delete"my dear" is terribly patronising.
DeleteMy dear can be taken that way if you have that kind of view on life. My dear is a term of friendship where I come from.
DeleteOh, isn't that a lovely faux fur! The colour is stunning, and looks amazing on you! I love that you are so into the details of your outfits - thank you always for all the close-ups so that I can see the detail! I am drooling over those boots. OMG, they are perfection.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Anna!
I think that you and I are both harbouring that rock chick vibe Sheila, hence these wild boots that we so cherish! Glad you like the coat - a colour you would wear too I bet x
DeleteWhat a fun outfit, providing not only some colour therapy for yourself, but for your fellow SAD sufferers too. The colour of that faux fur is fabulous, and I might have been tempted by a similar coat the other day, if I hadn't given myself a slap on the wrist, as only bought a purple faux fur last year. I'm also loving Sasha's hand me down top, and that belt is utterly stunning! xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased to hear that the outfit has provided you with some winter cheer Ann. Seeing your regular and very colourful posts on Insta does the same for me! I love the sound of that purple faux fur too x
DeleteToo many pictures of almost the same pose. Just too many pictures.
ReplyDeleteHello again. I admire your tenacity at coming back when clearly I'm just not your thing!
Deletelovely pictures and lovely outfit, your new coat looks so cosy and delightfully colorful!, love the golden pullover and cute booties and the brilliant style!
ReplyDeletebesos
Hi Monica. We're all about colour, you and I, so this would work just as well on you my dear. Thanks for your positive feedback x
DeleteWhat a wicked combo! Love it, as I do that gorgeous belt. x Jacqui x
ReplyDeleteCheers Jacqui. The belt is rather lovely isn't it?
