Hello again!
Yikes, can you believe it's only a week until Christmas?! I'm battling rising panic at how much I still have to achieve between now and then, but also experiencing that flutter of childish excitement at the very thought of Christmas day. I love the moment when the turkey is in the oven and we all get together to open our presents. I've never gotten over the joy of seeing how others react when they open their gifts. Christmas is all about giving isn't it?
So here we have today's Christmas style inspiration for you and it's all about silver and textures. I love the metallic shine of the pleated skirt paired with the heavily beaded top. Too much bling for some? Maybe. I love the extravagant nature of beads and sequins and all things sparkly. Adding fur and feathers brings even more luxury to this luxe look.
Both diamante rings are charity shopped.
The bright pink fishnet tights and toning boots add that much needed pop of colour into what would have been a very monochrome palette. I'm really pleased with how this look came together and do hope it might inspire someone out there.
And finally, if you're out at the supermarket or local shops this weekend, please keep your eyes peeled for the Christmas edition of Yours magazine. Yes, that's yours truly smiling out at you in the fashion feature, What to wear on Christmas Day. Grab me a copy and post it on please!
Anna x
I love the idea of the coupon for future work....the kids used to do those. I would be so glad to offer that to my grown kids instead of "stuff", but alas they are many hours away from me by plane....not likely. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYes, the voucher only works for me as my kids live just around the corner. I count my blessings for that x
DeleteI adore this wonderful outfit, Anna! That silver skirt, the beaded/sequined top, the feather bag, and cap it all with that faux fur! I die. And then you added those PINK booties! Just the best.
ReplyDeleteI have one day of work left (Monday) but I'm starting to feel that "tee hee hee!" child-like glee that Christmas is coming!! Hugs to you, my dear.
I nearly opted for silver boots Sheila, but decided on the more playful pink - glad you approve!
DeleteI hope you're enjoying some well earned time off xxx
I think that's a fabulous outfit. It inspired me to wear my velvet shiny pleated skirt. That's something to be proud of, the feature!
ReplyDeleteI love that whole influencer inspiring influencer thing! Cheers Nancy xxx
DeleteI love how you have styled this outfit Anna; it’s luxurious, quirky and the pink sock boots are an interesting twist. You have me thinking...now, how might I do something similar!
ReplyDeleteYour voucher trading is an excellent idea and I’m sure is much appreciated. It can be difficult to buy for adult children. I’ll bet that your son is delighted with his newly decorated bathroom and painted windows..fab!
I shall have a look out for Closer Magazine. I had a quick peek on-line and have to say that you look amazing in your red, Christmas Day attire. X
I'm delighted to hear that you liked this quirky take on Christmas fur, thanks!
DeleteThese vouchers have been so useful for Jamie to get things done on the home front - maybe the tables will turn at some stage and my children will give them to me!
Sorry Anna ... meant to say Yours Magazine!
ReplyDeleteAargh.. Busy, festive head on. X
Thanks for the Yours magazine - so very kind of you to help me out xx
DeleteYour outfit looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery kind of you, thanks Elizabeth!
DeleteNow you know I'm just going to love this outfit Anna. And no. not too much bling at all! I like your gifting idea. With our restrictions I could give that and not have to honor it for god knows how long! Haha. Have the best Christmas Anna xx
ReplyDeleteCheers for that Laurie.
DeleteI suppose you're in Tier 4 now? What strange times we're living in. We seem to be the last place to be in Tier 1, although I do wonder for how long...?
