Here I go again

Yes, it's my (dreaded for some) trainers challenge again this month. Sorry Veronica, you may be excused from this one as I know it's not your favourite of shoe. For those of you who remain, I'll be brief. I'm aware that all around me bloggers are breaking out the sequins and glittery tights, but at least today's offering does have a bit of a bronze burnished look to it that could pass for a nod towards the glitz of Christmas.

I'm kinda liking this version. What about you? I've played along with the bronze tones in the jacket and trousers which do tie in so well with the shoes don't you think? A bit of pattern play comes by way of the leopard print cardi and I think it's fine. More than fine and better than the last effort see here. The definitive offering? Well, I do have one more lurking in my draft box, but will hold back until 2017 before I force that upon you all.

I can't however hold back the forces of nature that are propelling me in the direction of even more bling than normal, so you'll have to get ready for swathes of velvet, and yards of sparkle in all sorts of textures. Yes, the festive season is upon us and I can't deny the urge to sparkle and shine any longer. You have been warned!

Details - jacket and trainers: TK Maxx, trousers and cardigan: H&M, necklace: Love Noel, rings:old, rose gold watch: Michael Kors, rose gold bangle: Kate Spade New York.

  1. I love the way you combined panther parttern with your pants. Great bomber jacket - olive colour looks beautiful. Cheers - Margot :)

  3. Oh Anna, I am sorry that I don't like trainers! I do like the jumper and the trousers together with the trainers, though. I love your little necklace it's so cute!

I wonder if you had thought about rolling/folding up the trouser legs to show the trainers off more? Or maybe you're not happy about rolling up the legs of trousers? I often have no option - other than needle and thread - as my legs are so flippin' short!

I'm looking forward to velvet (oh yes) and sparkle in your upcoming posts.

Hope your week is going well

    1. 'Tis only a bit of fun Vronni! I really don't mind if no-one likes these ol' trainers - I do, and that's why I keep wheeling them out. Thanks for all of your lovely comments though.
The velvet is on it's way and the sparkle is waiting in the wings...
      See you soon x

  4. I like the pattern-mixing here, although the overall "read" of the outfit comes out a bit blah (my opinion only!! You are still better dressed than most!). I love all the individual pieces, although I'm afraid you may need to add me to the not-these-trainers club. :(

    1. Hahaha, I love that my blogging friends feel comfortable enough to be honest with me! I have lots of lovely footwear lined up for the next few weeks and none of them are trainers my dear. The dull weather and backdrop didn't help with the blah factor, but I have to agree that this isn't my finest moment.
Note to self - must try harder.

  5. I see what Sheila's saying---it's a more muted outfit. Especially when you compare it to the orange of late!!
I'm not a huge trainer fan either, but these are better than most!!

    1. Bring it on baby, I can take it! I think that the orange was a pretty tough act to follow, and in my defence I couldn't really keep on out-doing myself!
Message received and understood. Trainers are "resting" for the forseeable future.

  6. Anna, I rather like the combination of the sheen of your jacket , the leopard and pattern pants with the trainers. That said I am not a big trainers fan either and feel some of your brogues would work a treat.

    1. Wait a minute Jill while I drag myself up from the floor, hahaha. I love this wonderful uprising against the trainers. It's brilliant to have such lively feedback - I think I need to find another crazy challenge to replace this one...

  7. The jacket and pants are really great and I'm warming to the animal pattern in the mix as well. I think the trainers are working here! A brogue may offer a sleeker vibe but the trainers bring on the modern funk!
Also, these colors really suit you Anna. They're more subdued than we've been seeing but that's the fun of dressing in moody hues eh?
